A River of Skulls, cast and filmed in 2009, is the coming-of-age story of two young people who lose love and find it again while struggling to survive the California Gold Rush. After losing their loved ones, Eula Seeley and Jack Rivers fight tragic odds to survive deceit and betrayal, greed and violence in the wild 1870’s, only to find each other in the process. The action takes place in Raven’s Bend, a boomtown in Calaveras County, where death in the mining camps, the brothels, and even the child-birthing bed challenge men and women, alike, to stay alive. The Making Of, produced by Great Minds Productions and directed by Matt St. Charles, is a feature film shot in 2008. North Coast Casting provided principal and supporting actors, and extras.



Models were provided by North Coast Casting for a Hitachi GPS Tracking System National Print Ad for Nissan Extera, produced by Razor Productions. The ad aired in the New York Times.



In the summer of 2005, North Coast Casting cast the principals for a Hot Rod Video, produced by Doug Thron of the Dudes of Humboldt Film Company.



Illegal Smile is a full length feature film shot the summer of 2005. Produced by Other End of the State Productions. North Coast Casting cast principals, supporting, and extra actors.

It's a dark character comedy. Jack gets fired from his job and through a series of bad events, learns why his boys turned out the way they did. Starring Emmy award winning Jack Hanrahan and Beti Trauth, featuring Daniel Squire and Bob Wells.



Redland, an LA based full length feature film, was filmed locally the summer of 2005. North Coast Casting provided supporting actors. Produced by Magdalena Zyzak of Commondeer Productions, and directed by Asiel Norton, who has been listed as one of the 25 new faces of film by Filmmaker Magazine and won best debut film in the London festival. Redland was at the IFC Awards on March 5, 2010 and will make its theatrical premiere in New York and Los Angeles in January and February, 2011.

Come see Redland at Laemmle's Sunset 5 Theater through Friday, Mar. 17, 2011 at 1:30, 4:30, 7:20, and 9:30 p.m., Hollywood. It was nominated for a 2010 Independent Spirit Award. LA Weekly calls it "hypnotic." Indiewire says it's "truly gorgeous."

This film has been nominated for best picture at the 2009 Montreal Film Festival and has been shown at the Vancouver Film Festival as well.

With the pressures of family and his friends who have come home after four years away at college, will Cody leave or stay to live his Small Town Life?

Produced by Sledgehammer Films, the story idea for Small Town Life came from the film's Producer/Director Jay Cooney and was written by William Hanstock. It was shot on location in and around Ferndale and Loleta, two small towns on California's north coast, in October, 2003.
